JIDS is funded by Universitas Pendidikan Nasional and by an article processing charge paid only after acceptance; it carries no advertising.

Sources of revenue

• Institutional support from Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (staff, hosting, DOI registration).
• Article processing charge (APC) of IDR 750,000 per accepted article, with a 50% discount for manuscripts that include a co-author affiliated with a foreign institution. There are no submission or review fees. Details are on the Author Fees page.
• Fee reduction: the 50% discount for manuscripts with a foreign co-author is the only reduction offered; there are no other waivers.

Editorial independence

Payment, or the ability to pay, plays no part in editorial decisions. The Letter of Acceptance is issued only after peer review and the editorial decision are complete.

Advertising

The journal does not accept paid advertising, sponsored content or paid links. Logos shown on the website are limited to indexing databases, the publisher, and reference tools recommended to authors, and no payment is received for them. The journal does not send direct marketing to authors beyond calls for papers and notices about its own issues.
