Complaints & Appeals
Authors may appeal an editorial decision once, and anyone may complain about the journal's conduct; every complaint is acknowledged within 7 days and answered within 30 days.
Appeals against editorial decisions
- Send the appeal to journal@undiknas.ac.id within 30 days of the decision, with the subject "Appeal – Manuscript #ID".
- Explain point by point why the decision should be reconsidered, for example a reviewer's factual error or evidence of bias. Disagreement with the outcome alone is not grounds for appeal.
- The Editor-in-Chief, or an editor not involved in the original decision, reviews the file and may seek an additional reviewer.
- The appeal decision is final. The manuscript is not considered elsewhere in the journal while the appeal is open.
Complaints about the journal
Complaints may concern delays, the handling of a manuscript, the conduct of an editor or reviewer, or a published article (for example suspected plagiarism, data fabrication or an undeclared conflict of interest). Send them to journal@undiknas.ac.id with any supporting evidence. Complaints about published articles are investigated following the COPE flowcharts and may lead to a correction or retraction.
If a complaint concerns the Editor-in-Chief, it is handled by the Managing Editor together with the publisher, Universitas Pendidikan Nasional. Complainants who remain unsatisfied may refer the matter to the Rector of Universitas Pendidikan Nasional as the publisher.
