Corrections & Retractions
JIDS keeps the scholarly record accurate: errors are corrected openly, and articles whose findings cannot be relied on are retracted, following the COPE Retraction Guidelines. Published articles are never silently changed or removed.
| Notice | When it is used | What happens to the article |
|---|---|---|
| Correction (erratum or corrigendum) | An error that does not change the main findings: a wrong figure label, an author's affiliation, a reference | A correction notice with its own DOI is published and linked to the article; the corrected version replaces the PDF and the original stays available on request |
| Expression of concern | Serious doubts are under investigation and the outcome is not yet known | A notice is linked to the article until the investigation ends |
| Retraction | Findings are unreliable through error or misconduct (fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, undeclared conflict that changes the conclusions, prohibited AI use, unethical research) | A retraction notice with its own DOI states the reason; the article stays online with every page marked "RETRACTED" and its metadata updated in Crossref |
| Removal | Only for legal reasons or a serious risk to health or safety | The text is removed; title, authors and a notice explaining the removal remain |
Authors who find an error in their published article should write to journal@undiknas.ac.id. Readers may report suspected problems through the Complaints & Appeals procedure. The editors contact all authors before deciding, and where misconduct is suspected they may inform the authors' institutions.
