Correction and Retraction Policy

Correction and Retraction Policy

Review of Management, Accounting, and Business Studies (REVENUE) is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Published articles are considered final and are not altered after publication, except through the procedures below, in accordance with COPE guidelines.

1. Correction (Erratum / Corrigendum)

A correction is published when a significant error affects the accuracy of an article but does not invalidate its main findings, for example errors in author names or affiliations, references, tables, figures, or statistical results.

  • Erratum: correction of an error introduced by the journal during production.
  • Corrigendum: correction of an error made by the authors.

Corrections are published as a separate notice linked to the original article and registered with Crossref. The corrected version is made available with a note indicating the date and nature of the correction. Minor typographical errors are not normally corrected.

2. Expression of Concern

The editors may publish an Expression of Concern when there is credible evidence of serious problems with a published article but an investigation is still ongoing. The notice is linked to the article and later updated or replaced by a correction or retraction.

3. Retraction

An article may be retracted if:

  • There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable due to misconduct (such as data fabrication or falsification) or major error;
  • The article contains plagiarism or constitutes redundant publication;
  • The article was published without proper authorization, infringes copyright, or reports unethical research;
  • The peer review process was compromised or manipulated.

Retractions may be requested by the authors or initiated by the editors following an investigation under the Allegations of Research Misconduct procedure. When an article is retracted, a notice titled "Retraction: [article title]" is published stating the reason, the original article remains online with every page of the PDF marked "RETRACTED", and the retraction is registered with Crossref.

4. Article Removal

In exceptional circumstances, such as defamatory or unlawful content or infringement of others' legal rights, an article may be removed. Its metadata will remain, together with a notice explaining the removal.

5. How to Request a Correction or Retraction

Requests may be sent to the Editor-in-Chief through the contact page or by email at journal.revenue@undiknas.ac.id, including the article title, DOI, and a clear explanation of the issue. The authors of the article will be consulted before a final decision is made.
