Submission Guidelines

Introduction
Welcome to Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen dan Bisnis (JIMB). This journal publishes original research articles and review papers in the fields of management and business. The following guidelines are intended to assist authors in preparing and submitting their manuscripts for publication. By adhering to these guidelines, you help ensure a smooth submission and review process.

Step-by-Step Submission Process

  1. Article Preparation
    Articles should be prepared in accordance with the following format:
    • Language: Articles can be written in English or Indonesian.
    • Length: Articles should be between 10-12 pages, including references.
    • Font: Use Times New Roman, size 12 for the body text.
    • Margins: Set all margins (top, bottom, left, and right) to 2.5 cm.
    • Spacing: Use single line spacing with 1 cm between paragraphs.
  2. Article Structure: The manuscript must include the following sections:
    1. Title: Bold, capitalized, up to 15 words.
    2. Author(s): Names of authors should be written in full, without titles. Use superscripts for different institutions.
    3. Abstract: A concise summary of 150-250 words written in the past tense. Avoid citing references and use standard nomenclature.
    4. Keywords: Provide 3-5 keywords separated by commas.
    5. Introduction: This should contain the background, problem statement, theoretical framework, objectives, and research significance.
    6. Methodology: Detailed description of data collection and analysis methods.
    7. Results and Discussion: Present findings and discuss their implications.
    8. Conclusion: Conclude with answers to research questions and suggest practical applications.
    9. Acknowledgements: Acknowledge individuals or institutions that contributed to the research.
    10. References: Include a list of at least 25 references, preferably from the last five years. Follow APA 7th Edition for citation style.
  3. Figures and Tables
    • Figures should be inserted in the text with a caption below, numbered sequentially (e.g., Figure 1. Example of data correlation).
    • Tables should have a caption above and contain horizontal lines only. Do not use vertical lines.
  4. Mathematical Formulas
    Use Microsoft Equation for any formulas. Ensure they are numbered sequentially.

Formatting Instructions

  • Title: The title should be written in Times New Roman, 16-point font, bold, and aligned to the left. It must clearly describe the content of the manuscript.
  • Headings: All headings should be written in Times New Roman, 12-point font, bold. The headings should not be numbered.
  • Subheadings: Use Times New Roman, 12-point, italic for subheadings.
  • Tables and Figures
    • Tables should be centered and formatted with horizontal lines only.
    • Figures should have high-quality contrast and be inserted into a text box with a caption beneath them.

Article Types

  • Original Research Articles: These articles should present novel research results.
  • Review Articles: These articles synthesize existing literature and offer insights into a particular research topic.

References

  • Citation Style: All references must be formatted according to APA 7th Edition guidelines. The reference list should include at least 25 sources, with preference given to articles published within the last five years.

Online Submission Process (OJS 3)

  1. Create an Account: Before submitting your manuscript, please create an account on the JIMB journal platform via OJS 3. This will allow you to track your submission and communicate with editors.
  2. Prepare Your Manuscript: Format your manuscript according to the guidelines mentioned above.
  3. Submit Your Manuscript: Once your manuscript is ready, log into the OJS system and submit your manuscript through the Author Submission page.
  4. Peer Review: After submission, your manuscript will undergo a peer-review process. The reviewers will assess the quality and relevance of the manuscript.
  5. Revisions: Based on reviewer feedback, you may need to revise your manuscript. Please ensure that all reviewer comments are addressed in your revision.
  6. Final Acceptance: After the revision process, the editorial team will make a final decision on the acceptance of your manuscript. If accepted, your paper will be published in an upcoming issue of the journal.
