Authors Guideline

Jurnal Ilmiah Telsinas Elektro, Sipil dan Teknik Informasi welcomes the submission of original research articles, reviews, and studies in the fields of electrical engineering, civil engineering, and informatics. Submissions must adhere to the guidelines below to ensure that the manuscript meets the required standards for publication.

1. Manuscript Formatting

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 11 for the body text.
  • Title: The title of the article should be concise, no longer than 15 words, and written in either English or Indonesian.
  • Author Details: Provide the full name(s) of the author(s), affiliation(s), and contact email of the corresponding author. Include the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) if available.
  • Abstract: The abstract should be written in both Indonesian and English. The English abstract must be italicized and formatted using Times New Roman, size 10, and should contain between 250 to 300 words. The abstract should concisely summarize the research background, objectives, methodology, main findings, and conclusions.
  • Keywords: Three to five keywords that describe the content of the article should be listed after the abstract.

2. Article Sections

The article should include the following sections in the given order:

  1. Introduction: The introduction should provide the background of the research, a review of relevant prior studies, the research objectives, and the scope of the study.
    • Formatting: Use Times New Roman, size 11, single-spaced paragraphs.
    • Citation Style: Citations must follow the IEEE citation format.
    • Length: The manuscript should not exceed 15 pages, including references, tables, and figures.
  2. Theoretical Framework: This section presents a review of the literature, theoretical foundations, and conceptual frameworks relevant to the research.
    • Formatting: Use Times New Roman, size 11, single-spaced paragraphs.
    • Citation Style: IEEE citation format should be used.
  3. Methods: The methodology section should outline the research approach, materials and tools (if applicable), experimental setups (if applicable), procedural steps, and the research location.
    • Formatting: Use Times New Roman, size 11, single-spaced paragraphs.
    • Citation Style: IEEE citation format should be used.
  4. Discussion: This section should present a detailed analysis of the results, interpretations, and the implications of the findings. It may include sub-sections as needed for clarity.
    • Formatting: Use Times New Roman, size 11, single-spaced paragraphs.
    • Citation Style: IEEE citation format should be used.
  5. Conclusion: The conclusion should summarize the main points of the article. It should highlight key findings, applications, and potential developments of the research, and discuss whether the research objectives were achieved.
    • Formatting: This section should be written in paragraph form, avoiding bullet points.

3. Figures and Tables

  • Figures: Figures should be embedded in the manuscript in either .jpeg or .bmp format. All figures should be numbered sequentially (e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.).
    • Figure Captions: Figure captions should be italicized and placed below the figure. The figure title should be formatted using the Caption style.
    • External Figures: If a figure is sourced from another publication, the source must be cited in the figure caption.
  • Tables: Tables should be created using the word processor’s table feature, not inserted as images. Table titles should be italicized and numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Table 2, etc.).
    • Table Formatting: Avoid using vertical lines in the table layout. Use the Caption style to format the title.

4. References

  • Citation Style: References should follow the IEEE citation style.
  • Reference Management: Authors are required to use Mendeley for reference management.
  • Number of References: The manuscript should include at least 15 references. Additionally, at least 3 reference must be sourced from a Scopus-indexed journal.

5. Submission Process

  • Authors are required to submit their manuscripts online through the journal’s submission platform. Manuscripts should not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted to other journals.
  • The submission will undergo an initial screening by the editorial team, followed by a double-blind peer review process.

6. Ethics

  • All submitted articles must adhere to ethical standards in research and publication. Plagiarism, fabrication of data, and other forms of unethical behavior will result in rejection.
  • The review process is conducted ethically, with reviewers providing objective feedback and constructive criticism. Any personal attacks or comments about the author’s personality are considered unethical and are strictly prohibited.
