Abstract

ABSTRACT

The title of this research is “Organizational Climate and Bureaucratic Behavior after the implementation of Bureaucratic Reform at Denpasar Immigration Office. This research is aimed in describing organizational climate and Bureaucratic Behavior after the implementation of Bureaucratic Reform at Denpasar Immigration Office. Since the implementation of Bureaucratic Reform in 2011, there are some changes made after the implementation of that regulation. Descriptive qualitative method was used as the method of analyzing and describing organizational climate and bureaucratic behavior after the implementation of Bureaucratic Reform at Denpasar Immigration Office. The Data were collected by using observation, interview, and documentation method. Denpasar Immigration Office was chosen as the research location due to the implementation of Bureaucratic Reform since 2011 in this office. The theory of Organizational climate and theory of bureaucratic behavior were implemented as the theories of this research. The theory of Organizational climate including eight dimensions such as: Organization Structure, Responsibility, Standards, Appreciation, Conflict, Physical Environment, Reward, and Commitment. Those dimensions were determined by some experts’ opinion and some former researches that adapted with situation and condition at Denpasar Immigration Office. On the other hand, the theory of Bureaucratic Behavior including five dimensions, such as: obedience, perseverance, accountability, satisfaction, and discipline. Those dimensions were determined by Ndraha (2014).  Seven officers were used as the informants of this research. The result of this research shows that the implementation of Bureaucratic reform at Denpasar Immigration office influenced organizational climate and bureaucratic behavior. There some positive impact made by the implementation of that regulation. Organizational climate and bureaucratic behavior has been going well but some improvements should be made to improve the performance of the apparatus.
